Ceist:156 Mr. Leonard asked the Minister for Tourism and Trade the proposals, if any, he has in conjunction with Coillte Teoranta for the development of forest parks as tourist amenity areas.

Some preliminary discussions have taken place between officials of Coillte Teoranta and my Department on the tourism potential of Ireland's forest parks. Arising from these discussions proposals for the further development of these parks, as tourist attractions, may be brought forward by Coillte Teoranta.
