228 Mr. Hilliard asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the FÁS community employment and other schemes are now seriously threatened in view of the fact that unions are not approving the schemes; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am not aware of any threat to Community Employment or FÁS Programmes arising from the unions not approving schemes. From time to time difficulties arise with individual projects because of the nature of a specific project. I am not aware of any such difficulties at the moment. If the Deputy is aware of problems with a specific project and he lets me have the details I will have the matter investigated.
