Written Answers. - Ashbourne (Meath) Water Supply.
Meath County Council has put in place measures to improve the water supply to Ashbourne. These measures include the development of a borehole source, the installation of a filtration plant and a chlorine residual unit. These works are reported to be operating effectively.
A revised preliminary report for a new water scheme to serve the Ashbourne area has been submitted to my Department. I am not yet in a position to say when approval may issue or when funding of the scheme may be possible.
