155 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for the Environment the various options available to local authorities under the social housing scheme; and if he has satisfied himself with the progress to date; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12919/95]
The range of social housing options now available are set out in detail in the policy document Social Housing — The Way Ahead, which was published and circulated to Deputies on 2 May 1995. Progress by local authorities on the various social housing schemes is monitored by my Department on an ongoing basis with a view to ensuring that the targets set out in the document are achieved. Information on the level of activity under the various schemes is published each quarter in the Department's Housing Statistics Bulletin— copies of which are in the Oireachtas Library. The most recent bulletin covers the period to June 1995.
