Written Answers. - Disposal of Mayo Commonage Shares.

Ceist:

345 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the commonage shares which were disposed of at Mweelrea, Carrowniskey, Westport, County Mayo, and the folio numbers, names and addresses of the people involved in view of the fact that a query (details supplied) was originally put to the land Commission on 24 March 1995. The land in question formed part of the Sligo/Lucan Estate CDB 10104 and CDB 656. A scheme for the disposal of the balance of Commonage Shares on Land Commission hands on Mweelrea Mountain was approved by the Land Commissioners in February 1993. It consisted of shares that had been refused from previous schemes.

The scheme was operated in March 1993.

These lands were vested by Fiat dated 22 March 1993 and lodged in Land Registry on Schedule Number 92228.
