110 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice if he will have arrangements made to expedite a Land Registry dealing for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo in view of the fact that the delay is causing financial hardship. [8168/96]
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that dealing No. 96SMO1560 refers to an application under section 49, that is, acquisition of title by long possession, of the registration of Title Act, 1964, which was lodged on 1 March 1996. I understand that due to their complicated nature, applications under section 49 take some time to process.
The present position in relation to this application is that queries were issued to the applicant's solicitor on 22 April 1996 to which replies are awaited. The matter will be progressed on receipt of satisfactory replies.
