51 Mr. Broughan asked the Minister for Justice if a file will be sent to the DPP in view of the tragic fatality at a concert (details supplied) on Saturday, 11 May 1996, which was the second tragedy at an event at this venue in recent months. [10019/96]

I take this opportunity to extend my deepest sympathy to the parents and relations of the young woman who lost her life so tragically last Saturday night at the Point Depot.

I have received an initial and very preliminary report from the Garda authorities in relation to the circumstances surrounding the tragic event at the concert which the deceased attended on Saturday, 11 May 1996. I am awaiting the outcome of a full Garda investigation.

When the investigation has been completed, a decision will be made by the Garda authorities, from the evidence available, whether or not a file should be submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions for directions.
