69 Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Education when equipment required for a visually impaired person (details supplied) in County Galway will be provided in view of the fact that it is required as a matter of urgency to enable her to continue with her studies. [10645/96]
The Deputy is referring to an application under the scheme of grants towards the purchase of equipment by second level schools for the use of pupils with a disability. Complete information in regard to the application on behalf of the pupil in question was received in my Department on 14 May 1996. This is now being examined in my Department. The school will be notified of the outcome of the application in the near future.
