85 Mr. Broughan asked the Minister for Education whether she will allocate resources in respect of a special unit for truant and difficult children at a senior primary school (details supplied) in Dublin north-east. [11931/96]
My Department has received an application for the establishment of a special class for pupils with emotional-behavioural problems in the school referred to by the Deputy. While my Department is prepared to sanction a teaching post for the class, difficulties have arisen in relation to the provision of child care support. Efforts are being made to resolve the problem at present with a view to enabling the proposed class to proceed.
