The estimated value of waste and scrap paper or paperboard exported from Ireland in 1995 was £5.5 million. The estimated volume of exports was 49,677 tonnes.
Overall, approximately 10 per cent of trade is unclassified by commodity. The unclassified trade includes intra-EU estimates, low value transactions and some parcel post and Shannon Free Airport trade.
