Written Answers. - Consultancy Costs.
I have, in reply to previous parliamentary questions from the Deputy, i.e. Question No. 270 of 21 May 1996, Question No. 119 of 28 February 1996 and Question No. 156 of 13 December 1995, detailed the various consultancies commissioned by my Department. The terms of reference of these consultancies did not cover BSE and the reports do not, therefore, specifically refer to the disease as it was not within their remit.
