Ceist:161 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education when a reply will issue to a letter sent to her by a person (details supplied) in County Mayo in view of the fact that the letter was sent on 23 August 1996. [19730/96]

The person in question wrote to my Department on 23 August 1996. A reply was issued on 16 September 1996.
A copy of that reply was issued on 22 October 1996, following receipt of a further letter from the person concerned indicating that the original letter had not been received.
