Ceist:262 Mrs. O'Rourke asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will ensure the urgent payment of a grant under the REP scheme in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Longford. [22984/96]

The person concerned has applied for his first payment under the REP scheme. However, his agri-environmental plan was returned to his planner because it was deficient. A revised plan has not as yet been received in the local office of my Department. On receipt of this revised plan his application will be processed and if found to be in order payment will issue as soon as possible thereafter.
