Written Answers. - Recycling Grants.
Under the Waste Management Sub-Programme of the Operational Programme for Environmental Services 1994-1999, grant assistance is available from my Department for the provision of recycling infrastructure by the private sector and by local authorities. The closing date for receipt of grant applications was 15 June 1996, but further applications may be invited in 1997 or in subsequent years. The grants scheme targets the provision of recycling infrastructure in relation to a number of waste streams, including electrical and electronic waste. Preference is given to the support of projects which address post consumer, rather than post factory, waste.
