Vol. 472 No. 6

Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

John O'Leary

Ceist:

99 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for the Environment when grants will be formally allocated in respect of the proposed Scrahanagullane group water supply scheme near Rathmore post office, County Kerry, in view of the fact that the local contributions have been collected and a contractor appointed. [23772/96]

Group water scheme grants totalling £32,344 have been allocated to this scheme. It is now a matter for the group to progress the scheme to construction stage.

John O'Leary

Ceist:

100 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for the Environment the current position regarding the proposed new sewerage scheme at West End, Rathmore, County Kerry; and if he will provide finance for this scheme in the 1997 capital budget. [23773/96]

A preliminary report for this scheme has been approved but, given a high level of commitments under the water and sewerage programme, I cannot say when it will be possible to approve funding for the scheme.
