Kitt asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment if he will amend section 3 of the Unfair Dismissals (Amendment) Act, 1993, in view of the fact that an anomaly has arisen regarding second or further fixed term contracts for persons who are, as a result of this legislation, being refused second fixed term contracts by some employers, where previously they might have been offered such contracts; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
