217 Mr. Broughan asked the Minister for Health if he will list all those who served on the Adoption Board, including its chairpersons, since its inception to date in 1997; the length of time served by each individual; their individual duties and obligations to the board; and if he will give similar details of all the registrars who served with the board. Responsibility for the Adoption Board was transferred from the Department of Justice to the Department of Health in January 1983. The information requested by the Deputy is set out as follows, in respect of the period 1983 to date. The information relating to the years prior to 1983 is not readily available in my Department, however, I will communicate with the Deputy on this issue when the necessary data has been obtained.
The duties and obligations of the board chairpersons, membership and registrars are to administer the provisions of the Adoption Acts, 1952 to 1991.
