335 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education if his Department received a funding request from a school (details supplied) in Dublin 7 to resurface the school basketball court; and his response, if any, to the request. [13803/97]
An application for grant assistance towards the resurfacing of a basketball court at the school in question has been received in the planning and building unit of my Department. A report on the condition of the basketball court has been submitted and is being examined at present. The question of proceeding with the works is dependent on the availability of funding. As soon as a decision has been made, the building unit of my Department will be in contact with the school authorities.
