Ceist:602 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education whether a teacher is allowed to retain their privileged assistant status or privileged assistant's allowance when he or she resigns as a principal of one school to take up the position of assistant in another school. [14784/97]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 601 and 602 together.
Both issues raised by the Deputy are currently being considered within my Department.
Officials of my Department will notify the Deputy, and the board of management of the school involved, as soon as the position has been clarified.
