The trade promotion budget for An Bord Tráchtála (ABT) for 1997 was £42.794 million, of which £8.247 million came from ABT's own income and £34.547 million was allocated as Exchequer grant-in-aid. Of the 1997 grant-in-aid £32.460 million was drawn down in 1997 by ABT to meet its cash flow needs.
