78 Mr. McDowell asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will seek a report into the circumstances pertaining to a fatal road traffic accident (details supplied) at Clontarf, Dublin 3, on 25 May 1997. [10236/98]
I have received a report from the Garda authorities on the accident referred to by the Deputy. I have been informed by them that following the Garda investigations into this accident and, in accordance with procedures in such cases, a file was submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions who decided that there should be no prosecution in the case.
