125 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs the reason unemployment assistance has been discontinued in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare in view of the circumstances (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. As part of a review of the entitlement of the person concerned to unemployment assistance he was requested to supply certain information to prove his continuing entitlement. He failed to forward the required information.

Payment was disallowed by a deciding officer with effect from 3 June 1998, on the grounds that the claimant had failed to show that he continued to satisfy the conditions for receipt of unemployment assistance.

In the light of information now supplied by the Deputy, the claim will be reviewed and the person concerned will be advised accordingly.
