Written Answers. - Offshore Islands.
The matter referred to by the Deputy is primarily one for An Post for which the Minister for Public Enterprise is responsible. However, as Minister of State with responsibility for the offshore islands I have met with An Post to discuss this matter and I understand that it is still being carefully considered by them. An Post have assured me of their continued commitment to the provision of services on the offshore islands and also of their desire to ensure that a post office will be available on the island in question and that it is hoped to make progress in this regard soon.
