The Central Statistics Office has responded in detail over a number of years to the points raised by the person concerned, who was employed as an enumerator on the 1986 and 1991 censuses of population.
The CSO fully appreciates the key role enumerators play in ensuring that the census is carried out efficiently and effectively. For this reason, the CSO has been proactive in inviting feedback from field staff engaged on the census with a view to making continuous improvements in subsequent censuses. The proposals put forward by the person concerned will be considered in the context of the next census and will be taken into account to the extent that they are deemed to be reasonable and achievable in practice.
In view of the fact that senior census staff have on different occasions over the past few years dealt directly with the person concerned it is not considered that any further consultations are warranted.
