233 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive 1997 extensification payments and 1998 sheep and cattle headage in view of the fact that all the information requested has been submitted to the area aid office. [27689/98]

Arrangements are being made to have the 1997 extensification paid to the person named shortly. No application was received from the person named under the 1998 sheep headage scheme. Full entitlements of £813.78 under the 1998 cattle headage scheme issued to the person named on 27 September 1998.

237 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when an appeal for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be finalised in view of the fact that the person made a genuine error. [27693/98]

The herdowner lodged an appeal on 19 October 1998 concerning his 1998 area aid application. Appeals are dealt with in the order in which they are received and require individual examination. This appeal will be examined in due course and the herdowner will be notified of the outcome.

A problem has arisen in digitising some of the plots applied for by the person named. Maps have been sent to him with a view to resolving the matter.
