Ceist:293 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Finance if the case will be investigated for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny in order to determine if she is in receipt of the correct tax free allowance. [9879/99]
Written Answers. - Tax Free Allowances.
I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer and her husband are jointly assessed for income tax purposes. Some £400 of the taxpayer's tax free allowances were allocated in error to the taxpayer's spouse. A revised certificate of tax free allowances allocating all of the couple's tax free allowances to the taxpayer will issue shortly.
