583 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education and Science the number of tenders received for building a new primary school in County Mayo; if he will give a breakdown of the tender costs; the reason the building cost of a two classroom school could cost almost half a million pounds; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I take it the Deputy is referring to the proposed new school for Fahy, County Mayo.

As the contract for the project has not yet been awarded, it would not be appropriate for me to comment in detail at this stage about the outcome of the tender competition.
