Millennium funding for locally based projects was made available under the Millennium Recognition Awards. This initiative, which recognises the contribution made by local communities to economic, social and cultural development, was administered on behalf of the National Millennium Committee by Area Development Management Limited.
The successful applicants under the Millennium Recognition Awards were announced by the National Millennium Committee recently on foot of recommendations made by ADM. The application referred to by the Deputy was not included in these recommendations.
