Vol. 513 No. 4

Written Answers. - Garda Investigations.

Brendan Howlin

Ceist:

111 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the investigation, if any, held into allegations made in a letter sent to the DPP and a Galway solicitor, apparently from a Garda, suggesting irregularities in the detention of a woman who later faced serious arms charges in the Special Criminal Court and whose prosecution was subsequently dropped by a decision of the DPP; the outcome of any investigation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2511/00]

I refer the Deputy to my reply to Priority Question No. 53 today.
