Ceist:

61 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Defence if he will transfer lands (details supplied) in County Mayo from his Department to Castlebar Urban District Council in order that the chamber of commerce can secure investors to build a multi-storey car park if a decision will be made on this request urgently in order that any investor would have 15% of the development complete by 30 September 2000 to avail of the tax breaks; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The matter raised by the Deputy is the subject of correspondence between my Department and Castlebar Urban District Council. My Department will do everything possible to bring it to a conclusion at the earliest date.
