Written Answers. - Tourism Policy.
As Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation, I am responsible for the formulation of national policy for tourism and for monitoring its implementation. This includes considering the policy implications of trends in visitor numbers and progress against targets set at national level.
Execution of tourism policy is a day to day matter for agencies operating under the aegis of my Department while official tourism and travel statistics are produced by the Central Statistics Office and Bord Fáilte.
