I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that two applications for copy folios/file plans were lodged on 9 May 2000 in respect of Folio No. 25798F, County Mayo. Both applications were completed on 15 June 2000. I have been further informed by the Land Registry that there are no other applications pending on this folio.

I refer the Deputy to my previous answer to Question No. 275 of 1 February 2000.

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that queries issued to the lodging solicitors on 5 May 2000 and that on receipt of a satisfactory response to these queries the matter will be dealt with without delay.

245 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will instruct the Land Registry Office to expedite a section 49 application for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo as any delay will cause hardship. [17407/00]

I refer the Deputy to my previous answers to Question No. 276 of 1 February 2000 and Question No. 254 of 4 April 2000.

I am informed by the registrar of titles that queries issued to the lodging solicitors on 31 May 2000 and that on receipt of a satisfactory response to these queries the matter will be dealt with without delay.

I can assure the Deputy that the Land Registry will do everything possible to expedite the resolution of this application.

Ceist:

246 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when a registration on a folio will be completed for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo in view of the fact that the delay is holding up a REPS payment. [17408/00]

I am informed by the registrar of titles that this application refers to a section 49 application, that is, acquisition of title by virtue of long possession, of the Registration of Title Act, 1964, which was lodged on 9 November 1999.

I understand that due to their complicated nature, applications under section 49, which require detailed examination of claims for registration as owners, can take some time to process. Accordingly, it is not possible to estimate a completion date for the application concerned at this stage.

However, I can assure the Deputy that the Land Registry will deal with this application without delay.

Ceist:

247 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when a schedule in the Land Registry Office for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be completed in view of the fact that the matter has been pending since November 1982. [17409/00]

I am informed by the registrar of titles that this application refers to a Land Commission fiated purchase agreement which was completed on 1 June, 2000. I am further informed that Land Commission schedules are deemed to be registered as of the date of vesting which is prior to the date of lodgement of the documents in the Land Registry. Accordingly, registration in the Land Registry of Land Commission cases is afforded a lower priority than the registration of other dealings. A copy of the new Folio No. 36842F County Mayo was sent to the applicant on 1 June 2000.
