Vol. 526 No. 3

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Ring

Ceist:

206 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive 2000 sheep headage in view of the fact that the over claim problem has been resolved. [26618/00]

The 2000 area aid application of the person named has been fully processed with no outstanding errors and the area for payment purposes has been determined at 42.57 hectares.

Payment in the amount of £750.00 in respect of the person's 2000 sheep headage application has now issued.

Ceist:

207 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive REP scheme payment. [26619/00]

In this case an issue has arisen as to whether a holding was split or created to draw down or maximise payments. The matter is being examined and the applicant will be notified of the outcome within ten working days.

Ceist:

208 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has not been paid 2000 cattle headage in view of the fact that he has shown the local office a copy of his application as proof of its submission. [26620/00]

No application under the 2000 cattle headage scheme was received from the person named. He called to my Department's district livestock office on 7 November 2000 with the carbon copy of his application form listing ten dairy cows under this scheme and dated 20 May 2000. He was advised that a certificate of posting from An Post was required in order to confirm that he had posted the application on time. To date, he has not provided this certificate.
