224 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason the Western Health Board have not assisted two people (details supplied) in County Mayo; and if he will instruct the health board to assist these persons with the roof of their house. [29407/00]
As the Deputy is aware, the housing aid scheme for the elderly is operated by the Health Boards on behalf of the Department of Environment and Local Government.
I have asked the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board to investigate this case and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
