Written Answers. - Pension Provisions.
My Department provides a grant under the PESP scheme towards the cost of secretarial services in the school, referred to by the Deputy. Under this scheme, grants are paid as additions to the standard per capita grant and gives schools discretion as to the manner in which secretarial services are provided. As the secretaries concerned are employees of individual schools, my Department does not have any role in determining the terms and conditions, including pension arrangements, under which they are employed.
