Written Answers. - Local Authority Housing.
The results of the assessment of housing needs undertaken by local authorities at the end of March 1999 indicated that a total of 2,363 households, categorised by local authorities as being elderly person households, were in need of local authority housing. The corresponding figure at the end of March 1996 was 2,140 households. The next comprehensive assessment of housing need is due to be undertaken by local authorities at the end of March 2002.
