113 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the extent to which his Department has approved the proposals by Kildare County Council for the provision of library and other facilities at Newtown House, Confey, Leixlip, County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. A report by Kildare County Council in relation to the acceptance of a tender for the construction of a branch library at Leixlip has been received in my Department.
Clarification was sought from the library authority on a number of items in the report . Most of these have now been clarified, and, while certain information is still awaited, I hope to be in a position to bring this matter to a conclusion in the near future.
