218 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he will instruct the Land Commission to expedite the issue of a certificate of freehold for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo; and if he will investigate this matter. [11856/01]
My Department is in contact with representatives of the persons named in an effort to resolve this problem, which is a conveyancing one and not a standard allotment and vesting. All records relating to church temporalities matters which are relevant in this case were transferred from records branch in my Department to the National Archives many years ago and it is one of these files that is now missing.
I have asked my officials to request a renewed search in the National Archives.
