74 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when he will publish the report from the construction industry on their proposals for recycling of construction waste; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19793/01]
The final report of the task force established by the Forum for the Construction Industry to develop proposals for industry-led producer responsibility initiative to meet the recycling targets for construction and demolition (C&D) waste (set in the 1998 Policy Statement on Waste Management, Changing our Ways ) was submitted to Minister Dempsey on 8 June. The report's findings and recommendations are now being considered and the Minister will issue a response shortly. Publication of the report, which is envisaged, is a matter for the forum.
