My Department has agreed, in principle, to the provision of a PE hall at the school to which the Deputy refers. The planning and building unit of my Department is currently preparing PE hall templates that will standardise the construction of PE halls at second level school and will reduce the architectural planning processes considerably. It is expected that the templates will be available in the latter half of 2001. Thereafter, the templates will be used to plan the provision of PE halls nationally including the hall at the school to which the Deputy refers.
