484 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Education and Science if he has received a request for funding for the provision of a new library at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19840/01]

My Department is aware that NUI Maynooth has plans for an extension to their library. However, to date, my Department has received no proposal from the college in this regard.
