Ceist:

720 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the action he is taking regarding a company which received grant aid under the waste management programme and which was subsequently dissolved with effect from 3 March 2000; the action being considered in this matter; and the reason the reply which he gave to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 242 and 243 of 27 November 2001 was not accurate. My Department is pursuing this matter with the principal of the company involved and is taking legal advice in respect of the grant paid and matters arising therefrom.

I wrote to the Deputy on 14 December 2001 setting out fully the background to the original reply to Questions Nos. 242 and 243 of 27 November 2001 and providing a revised reply which was also forwarded to the Office of the Editor of Debates.
