Ceist:1179 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a group (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive a decision on their application for national lottery funding submitted in February 2002. [16997/02]
Written Answers. - National Lottery Funding.
My Department received an application for a grant from the 2002 health and children allocation of national lottery funds on 22 February 2002 from the organisation referred to by the Deputy. As the Deputy is aware, there is a set protocol in place in my Department for processing applications for national lottery grants. On receipt of the completed application form it is registered in finance unit and forwarded to the relevant services division for their assessment, evaluation and recommendation. All applications are then considered in the context of the recommendation and the overall level of funds available.
The organisation is seeking funding towards the cost of extending its premises. This application is still under consideration for a grant from my Department and the organisation will be informed as soon as a decision has been made.
