432 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position regarding the provision of a fire station for Ardmore, County Waterford, given his announcement in 2001 in a local newspaper (details supplied); and when work will commence in this regard. [21420/02]

I refer to the reply to Question No. 1596 of 9 October 2002. Further correspondence concerning the project was submitted to my Department by Waterford County Council on 1 November 2002 and is under examination.
