Ceist:227 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs when funding will be made available under Scéim na bhFoghlaimeoirí Gaeilge to enable payments to issue to the people who keep students during the summer months; the number of applicants still waiting to receive payment; the reason for the delay in issuing payment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. All outstanding payments under Scéim na bhFoghlaimeoirí Gaeilge will be paid this week with the exception of approximately 27 applicants who have been asked to provide tax clearance certificates. A current tax clearance certificate is sought in regard to applicants who receive grants totalling €6,350 or more in any one year.
