Ceist:288 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources the amount of money which has been spent to date on the native woodland scheme; the amount which has been spent on trees; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25160/02]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 287 and 288 together.
No expenditure under the native woodland scheme has been incurred by my Department to date. A number of applications under the scheme are currently being processed by my Department. Decisions on the forestry schemes will be finalised in the coming weeks.
