366 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the staffing levels in each of the Garda stations in the Louth-Meath division for each year since 1997; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13382/03]

I have been informed by the Garda authorities, who are responsible for the detailed allocation of resources, including personnel, that the personnel strength, all ranks, of each Garda station in the Louth-Meath division as of 31 December each year from 1997 to 2002 and currently is as follows.

The situation will be kept under review and when additional personnel next becomes available the needs of the Louth-Meath division will be fully considered within the overall context of the needs of Garda stations throughout the country.
