Adjournment Debate. - Benchmarking Awards.

170 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if all of the action plans due under benchmarking have been approved and published by the verification groups; and the details of the various action plans due and their date of publication. [23717/03]

My Department's action plan under the Sustaining Progress social partnership agreement 2003-05 has been agreed by the Civil Service performance verification group and published on the Department of Finance's website. Action plans in relation to the justice and equality sector organisations listed below have been agreed by the justice and equality sector performance verification group and will be laid before both Houses of the Oireachtas and published on the Department's website shortly. In relation to the Garda, following negotiations, Garda associations are in the process of balloting members regarding the pay agreement and related modern isation requirements under Sustaining Progress. The justice and equality sector organisations are the Courts Service, the Office of the Refugee Applications Commissioner, the Refugee Appeals Tribunal, the Irish Prison Service, the Legal Aid Board, the Office for the Director of Equality Investigations, the Equality Tribunal, the Equality Authority, the National Disability Authority, the Garda Síochána Complaints Board, the forensic science laboratory, the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner, the film censor's office, the Land Registry and Registry of Deeds and the probation and welfare service.
