I propose to take Questions Nos. 147 to 159, inclusive, together.

Consistent with normal practice, all applications for capital funding have been considered, in the light of the most up to date information available, in the context of framing the 2004 school building programme.

The Office of Public Works, acting on behalf of my Department, is exploring the possibility of acquiring a site for a school in Castledermot. Due to the commercial sensitivity involved in acquiring sites, it would be inappropriate for me to make any comment in relation to a specific site.

Applications for capital funding in relation to Ballysax national school, Halverstown national school, St. Patrick's Boys national school, Athy and Brannockstown national schools are currently being examined in the school planning section of my Department and when decisions have been taken, the school managements will be informed.

I am publishing details of the 2004 school building programme on my Department's website today. The programme will clarify what progress is planned for projects, including those remaining projects referred to by the Deputy, during 2004.

If, on perusing the programme the Deputy has further queries, I will be pleased to answer them at a later stage.
