295. Deputy Michael McCarthy asked the Minister for Education and Skills if he will outline his position in relation to a personnel situation at a third-level institution (details supplied) in County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [47484/12]
Amharc ar fhreagraUnder the Universities Act 1997 University College Cork is an autonomous statutory institution and its management authorities are responsible for the organisation and deployment of the university's staff. As I have no function in the operational affairs of the university it would not be appropriate to comment on the matter raised by the Deputy.
